What’s the difference between the Fiat 500 and 500L?
The 2018 Fiat 500L is significantly larger than the 500L and is 22.9 in longer, 5.9 in wider and 7.4 in taller. This increase in size gives the 2018 Fiat 500L 22.4 cu. ft. of cargo space and the 2017 Fiat 500, 9.5 cu. ft. Inside the cabin, the 2018 Fiat 500 has space for up to four while the 500L has room for up to five. Both models have the same engine under the hood, but the 2018 Fiat 500L’s puts out 14 lb-ft more torque.
In addition to the difference in size, the two Fiat 500 models are also available in different trims. The 2017 Fiat 500 is available in Pop, Lounge and Abarth trims. There is also an available all-electric 500e model. Similarly, the 2018 Fiat 500L is available in three trims, including Pop, Trekking and Lounge, but there is no electric model.
