Whether this is your first year as part of the community or you were born and raised here, this is one event you’ll want to mark on your holiday calendar right away, especially if you’ve got little ones in your life. The Kenosha Christmas tree ceremony 2014 is coming up soon, so make sure to take down all these important details and we’ll see you there! When is the annual Kenosha Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 2014? This year’s ceremony will take place on Friday, November 28. Yes, that’s Black Friday but you wanted to get your shopping done early in the day anyway, or you’re holding out for Small Business Saturday and/or Cyber Monday. Festivities begin at 4pm.
Where is the event? The Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will take place at the Kenosha Public Museum at 5500 First Avenue.

What to expect
: You and the family will enjoy musical performances, a visit from Santa, and of course the tree lighting itself. Two children’s names will be drawn, and those lucky kids will assist Mayor Bosman in lighting the tree at about 4:45.
Afterward, make your way downtown to visit local businesses for Lightin’ Up Kenosha on the electric streetcar! Rides are free from 5-9pm on the night of the celebration. Kids can visit Santa at his Winter Wonderland at 5819 from 5-8pm. Beyond that, downtown will be lit up with carolers, musicians, and spectacular displays by downtown businesses looking to claim victory in the second annual decorating contest. Expect plenty of specials and cheer from downtown shops, restaurants, studios, and bars!
