Fiat may not be the most diversified automaker in terms of providing a wide variety of body styles – There certainly isn’t a heavy duty pickup truck in the current lineup here at – but it’s just the type of nameplate that does one thing and does it very well. The Fiat 500 and Fiat 500L are two of the most interesting, stylish, and affordable options on the market today, and they’re different enough from one another in terms of size and interior space without either of them losing that unmistakable Fiat look.
It turns out though that Fiat’s been directing a lot of that creative energy right back into its most basic model, the Fiat 500, in the way of fun and sophisticated special editions that push the boundaries of how people think about what a car ought to look and feel like. Today we’re comparing two of those: the Fiat 500 GQ vs Fiat 500 Gucci. These sleek special edition 500 models have a great deal to offer. Take a look:
In some ways the Fiat 500 GQ and Fiat 500 Gucci are quite similar – they are, after all, both versions of the Fiat 500. In both models you’ll find a 1.4-liter 16V Multiair Engine, but in the case of the Gq model it’s turbocharged.
Of course the unique badging will be the main thing to stand out on each of these models as entirely distinct. One thing that’s noteworthy about the Fiat 500 GQ is that it’s actually a 500c and is only available as a convertible. This puts its base price point a bit above that of the Gucci edition, but when you only compare the two convertible options it becomes rather comparable once again.
The GQ comes in four available colors: white, silver, dark gray, and black., while the Gucci edition only comes in black to keep with its sleek appearance and contrast nicely with all of the Gucci stripes that adorn it.
