The available Blind Spot Monitoring System (BSMS) uses sensors to assist you when you are changing lanes. The BSMS alerts you of traffic in your vehicle’s blind spot zones with an icon that illuminates in your corresponding exterior mirror.
The 124 Spider also has available Rear Cross Path Detection, which helps you back out of parking spaces when your side views are blocked. When you are in reverse, a warning sound and an icon in the exterior mirror will appear and alert you if a vehicle or object crosses your path behind your vehicle.
The 124 Spider has a standard steel safety frame that includes crumple zones designed to help absorb energy and redirect it away from passengers in the event of a collision. The occupant protection system includes four airbags that help to reduce the chance of injury.
