People that live in Miami know a thing or two about convertibles. That’s why it’s pretty impressive that the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio brought home the title of “Best Small Convertible” during the big “Topless in Miami” Convertible Awards recently. An expert panel of judges found the Fiat entry to be the best convertible – sporting style, performance and that “it” factor. Here at Palmen Fiat, we weren’t surprised about the win, as we are pretty familiar with what this version of the Fiat brings to the table. We’ve always considered the Abarth Cabrio to be the best small convertible of 2013.
The Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio may be small, but it packs a big punch under the hood. The car features a 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine that gives it performance numbers that might surprise some consumers. The engine has output of 160 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque and it is mated to a five-speed manual transmission to take the performance figures through the roof.

But to become the best small convertible of 2013, you have to in fact be a convertible. And the Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio is more than your standard convertible, as it allows the top to be put down at speeds up to 60 MPH. This is all done at the push of a button, which means if the weather gets drastically warmer while you drive, the car can instantly be turned into a convertible as your hair hits the wind.
We may be in Wisconsin, but the weather during the summer definitely warrants a convertible much of the time. And you can always keep the top up if needed. So make the plunge – be among the first in the area to own the best small convertible of 2013. Also, be sure to check out our other new Fiats in Kenosha!
