This is what the 500 line is all about

Fiat 500 Couture

At the recent press conference for the big reveal of the Fiat 500X, Head of Fiat Brand Olivier Francois laid out the four “embedded elements” of any Fiat 500 model. Today we’ll tell you what those four elements are, how they reach throughout the range of 500 models you can choose from, and we’ll highlight some of the exclusive new Fiat 500 Couture models that will be available in limited edition in Europe only — for now! We always like to say “for now” even when there are no immediate plans for a US release because the Fiat brand only continues to grow and flourish in the U.S. — in fact another tidbit from Francois was that last year Fiat models saw a 29% year-over-year increase stateside. Things may be looking way up for Fiat fans here on the fruited plain!
So, what are the four embedded elements in every Fiat 500 model, from the most standard 500 model to the 500L to the incoming 500X?
Heritage: From the Fiat 500’s inception with the 1957 model (fun fact: 2014 marks 57 years since the ’57), there’s been a tradition upheld through every model that’s come out since. There are elements you can see, in the silhouette, the interior layout, and the alert, active stance. There are also those you can’t, something intangible that Fiat drivers understand and feel every time they drive. That’s heritage.
Pop art: Pop art is bright, playful, instantly recognizable, and endlessly fun. This is seamlessly embodied by the 500, and is plain to see in the current lineup as well as those that have preceded it.
La Dolce Vita: Ah, the sweet life! There is something about the relaxed, carefree Italian mindset that carries through in a Fiat 500. If you’ve owned one, you know all about it.
Fashion: Fiat 500 models are models indeed. They have a way of being trendy without ever going out of style, of embodying a certain attitude, making a certain statement, that’s at once accessible and exclusive. On this point, we turn to the Fiat 500 Couture models that were on display at the Paris Motor  Show 2014:
