While Fiat continues to come out with options that have more space for you and your belongings — Starting with the 500L and expanding further with the much-anticipated 500X coming soon, those drivers who still prefer the compact and stylish little Fiat 500 may find themselves occasionally hard pressed for space when it comes to long trips. Or maybe you’d just like to take your bike or snowboard with you. Today we’ll tell you about some of the great Fiat 500 roof rack accessories available from Mopar and how you can get them!
Snowboard Rack
Let’s start with the available rooftop cargo carrier, pictured at the top of the post. In partnership with Thule (the leading car rack system manufacturer in the States) Mopar brings you this soft-side cargo carrier. It’s got a seventeen cubic-foot capacity and is made from waterproof materials. You’ll need an additional rack or utility bar attached in order to ensure secure tie-down points.
So you’re a snowboarder! Well winter is just around the corner so lucky you! Perhaps you’d like an easy, safe way to transport your board without having to make way for it in the cabin. No problem! The Ski and Snowboard carrier can hold up to three pair of skis or two snowboards — or a combination of both to accommodate you and your family and friends! It mounts to the rear window and has locks that open from either side to make it easy for you to load and unload.
Bike Rack
Now for the bike rack! Also by Thule, this hitch mount carrier has something you’ll really be interested in in terms of ease of use, and that’s a swingaway design that lets you get at you rear cargo without having to take your bikes down and removing the whole operation. It holds up to two bikes and can be easily adjusted for various sizes. The No Sway cage helps keep your bikes from bumping into one another.
