While we don’t have the exact fuel economy ratings as of yet from the EPA, what we do know can tell us a lot about how well the 500X will perform from an efficiency standpoint. Your two powertrain options will be a 1.4-liter MultiAir turbo with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 2.4-liter Tigershark Multiair2 that comes with an 9-speed automatic transmission. The same Tigershark engine on a Jeep Cherokee, for example, gets up to 31 highway miles per gallon and provides a driving range of up to 490 miles on a single tank.

As for the cost for a 2016 Fiat 500X, we’ve found estimates to be in the $20,500-$25,000 range, which accounts for the different trim levels and option packages including all-wheel drive and premium interior materials and technology. It’s definitely on par and highly competitive with the rest of the compact crossover segment, and we think the 500X’s unique design will stand out on roadways and make people say, “Now what is that?” If you want to be among the first to make waves here in the Kenosha area with the latest crossover, get in touch with us here at Palmen Fiat and we’ll make sure you’re on our list of folks to contact once the Fiat 500X arrives (current projections say we should see it sometime during the second quarter of 2015!).
