Before you even begin the official spring cleaning, clean out the garbage and winter accessories. Then you can start and we’ll give you the procedure.

Pull out those nasty mats and get out the shop vac. It’s time to vacuum every inch of the interior of this car. Under the seats and near the entry ways. Don’t leave anywhere unvacuumed.

Scrub all the fabric. Get out your car carpet and seat cleaner and scrub things down. The mud and salt built up all winter and it’s time to kick it to the curb!

Power wash those grimy floor mats. Your feet have been through lots of salt, snow, and mud this winter. Give your floor mats an intense spray-off to make sure they last longer and are clean for your summer travel adventures.

Clean your windows. You’ll want to get out the Windex and go to town. Clean windows make a huge difference and help your car to shine.

Wash the outside of the car. Start and the top and work your way down to the tires. Make sure to get in all the cracks and crevices. Also try and flush out the undercarriage. Salt that builds up there can cause corrosion.

Finally, lube up all your hinges. This means getting out some grease and putting it on all the door hinges and the trunk. This keeps the squeaks out and helps the hinges to last longer.

Don’t forget to do your regular maintenance activities. Your car needs oil changes, new wiper blades, new tires, and replacement of fluids every so often. Bring it into a service center to have it checked out and cleared for summer fun.
