Both the 2017 and 2016 Fiat 500 come with a standard 1.4-liter inline-four-cylinder engine that produces 101 horsepower. The Abarth model adds horsepower with a 1.4-liter turbocharged I-4, for those looking to experience a quicker take-off. However, the small size and light frame of the Fiat 500 makes for a responsive drive and youthful attitude, regardless of the model you choose.
For 2017, the Fiat 500 has a few new standard features at the base trim. These features were previously only available on the next trim level up, the Easy, and include: an open/close sliding and tilting sunroof, 15-inch silver aluminum wheels, fog lights and the upgraded Alpine speaker system. Other optional features include a voice-activated navigation system, smartphone integration technology, heated front seats and leather seating trim throughout.
