Pop or Sport – Which trim is right for you?

Fiat 500 Pop vs Sport

Once you’ve got your sights set on a Fiat 500, you’re ready for the fun to really begin! One major step you’ve got to take after you’ve settled on this super-fun and iconic model (did your Italian neighbors inspire you?) is to decide on which trim level is right for you. The Pop, as you may know, is the base level and a pretty great one at that for an entry level model! Next up is the Sport, which has much of what you’ll love about the Pop plus some extras that you may or may not deem necessary. Today we’ll help you sort through some of the key distinctions between the two so you can determine which one gets YOUR motor running! The Fiat 500 Pop vs Sport — What’ll it be?

Both come standard with a leather-wrapped steering wheel (Pop pictured)

Let’s start with one area no one’s likely to overlook: price. As the standard model with less in terms of features both included and available, the Pop is the least expensive of the two, though neither are particularly pricey! You’ll get a lot of quality and value in either model — it mostly depends on what you want to have included. Which brings us to some other categories…
How about looks? The primary difference here at least from the outside is that the Sport has 16-inch aluminum wheels while the Pop comes with 15-inch steel ones. Other than that they’re quite comparable at a glance.

Then there’s the available BeatsAudio system in the Sport. Might be a game-changer.

Then you get to the inside, where convenience features and finishing touches start to take hold. You’ll notice small things, like a chrome shift knob on the Sport that doesn’t come on the Pop, or a passenger assist overhead handle that’s only on the Sport. Both have leather-wrapped steering wheels, but the Pop’s lacks that sportier design and feel found in the (aptly named) Sport model.
Entertainment features differ quite a bit, as well, perhaps most notably the premium audio system that’s standard on the Sport with the option of going all-out and choosing the available BeatsAudio system. It’s a fun-loving audiophile’s dream come true in the Fiat 500’s compact interior.
In terms of the engine, both the Pop and Sport house a 1.4-liter I4 MultiAir engine and a 5-speed manual transmission with available six-speed automatic, so there’s no competition in that department! Any questions? Don’t hesitate to give us a call or come in and test drive both models yourself!
