DIY Fall Décor Ideas for Kids and Adults

Just like the colors of fall surround us outdoors, bringing the seasons indoors can be a great way to feel cozy in our homes! Here are some fun ideas to try!
1. Leaf Printing: Bring in some of your favorite leaves from outside (they don’t have to be colorful yet!) and grab your paints! Lay out a sheet of paper and after painting one side of your leaf with different fall colors, press it onto the paper. Peel the leaf off and there you will see a beautiful leaf print! Cover a whole piece of paper to frame and hang for a gorgeous fall-themed wall!

2. Felt Leaf Garland: Cutting felt can be tricky, but if you take different fall colors of felt and cut out your favorite leaf shapes, you can add detail by painting on them! Adding the extra color and detail can take a plain felt leaf and turn it into a beautiful fall craft that you can hang for years to come! String them together using yarn!

3. Stained Glass Leaves: For this you’ll need colored tissue paper, wax paper, and Elmer’s glue. Rip the colored tissue paper into small pieces and cut a piece of wax paper a little bigger than your ideal leaf size. Mix a little water with the Elmer’s glue and spread a thin layer over the wax paper. quickly put pieces of the tissue paper over the glue areas. Do this until one side of the wax paper is covered entirely. Once this is dry, cut the wax paper into the shape of your favorite leaf! Hang in a window to allow the sunshine to show off your colorful creation!
